The County of Simcoe has given Strvenson Memorial Hospital a booster shot worth more than $200,000.
County officials say they continue to recognize the importance of all hospitals in the area, and Alliston’s is no different.
The money will help bring advanced diagnostic testing to the community, with the addition of the hospital’s first state-of-the-art CT (computer tomography) suite.
“The County of Simcoe has always been a great, long-standing supporter of Stevenson Memorial Hospital and ensuring that the residents of our community have access to high-quality health care where they need it most, (which is) closer to home,” said hospital president and CEO Gary Ryan.
The presentation of the cheque — worth $226,627 — is scheduled for Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. at the hospital.
Stevenson Memorial Hospital serves New Tecumseth, Adjala-Tosorontio Township, CFB Borden, Essa Township and Innisfil.
