Springwater candidates’ meetings Oct.6, 12, 13 & 14

September 22 2010 — The Springwater Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host 2 evenings to “Meet the Candidates” in wards 1,2,3,& 4 in the Township of Springwater for the upcoming elections of 2010. We have been informed that ward 5’s “Meet the Candidates” evening will be hosted by the Midhurst Ratepayers’ Association Update – the MRA meeting is set for Oct. 12, and another A-C meeting is being hosted Oct. 14 by the Orr Lake Ratepayers – check listings on this website under Meetings/All-candidates’ meetings).
The meeting for wards 3 & 4 will be held on Wednesday, October 6 in the Minesing Community Hall, 2347 Ronald Rd., Minesing. The evening will begin at 7:30 pm and run until 9:30pm.     
We invite the candidates for Mayor and  Deputy Mayor who will have 5 minutes to introduce themselves to the public. We also invite  the candidates for Councillors in wards 3 & 4. As well, we invite the candidates for the Simcoe County District School Board- English- Language Public District School Board # 17 and the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board- English-Language Separate District School Board #44. The candidates for Councillor and the School Boards will have 3 minutes to introduce themselves.
** Please note that the candidates for Councillor in wards 1, 2 &, & 5 are also invited to attend the meeting. They will be introduced by the Chair, but will not take part in either the 3 minute self-introduction nor the question and answer segment of the program.
The meeting for wards 1 & 2 will be held on Tuesday, October 12, in the Elmvale Community Hall, 33 Queen St. West, Elmvale. The evening will begin at 7:30pm and run until 9:30pm.
