Here are some of the highlights of his platform.
• Creation of “Vision 20/20” the future of Wasaga Beach
• Moving our water billing system to a consumption only billing system, and offering a one-time rebate of $ 150.00 per household to help offset any overbilling that’s taken place since moving to the metered system.
• Offering all full-time residents over the age of 65 free seasonal parking passes for our Provincial Parks along beach area 3-6
• Creation of a transfer station between Collingwood and Wasaga Beach so residents can transfer from our bus system to Collingwood’s bus system.
• Bring in a code of ethics and conduct for both members of council and town staff.
• Develop our Industrial Park to attract Green Energy companies to our area, and create higher paying jobs.
• Invest more money in promoting Wasaga Beach as a tourist destination.
• Aggressively go after developers with proven track records to re-develop beach area’s 1 and 2.
• Work with our local school board and the Province to get a high school finally built in our town.
• Aggressively work with town staff to find ways to save tax dollars without sacrificing services.
• Get more parks, and sidewalks built in our town.
While we can’t change the past, we can shape the future of our town by creating a vision that’s fair, balanced, and accountable to each and every resident in our great town.
On October 25th, 2010 I ask for your vote and if elected I will work hard for each and every resident and not a select few.
