Current Issues – with Jeff Monague

Tuesday April 11, 2017 at 7:30 pm at St. Thomas’, Shanty Bay, 28 Church St., Oro-Medonte

Jeff Monague, former chief of Beausoleil First Nation and currently Warden of Springwater Park, will speak about current issues, including treaties and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission

This is the second in ‘Sharing Turtle Island’, a 3 part series about Aboriginal life. It is sponsored by St. Thomas Church in Shanty Bay and all are welcome. There’s no charge, but a free-will offering will be gratefully received.

This is a unique opportunity to learn first-hand about First Nation history and culture in Simcoe County and beyond; and seek to build a respectful understanding between Indigenous and mainstream people by learning about Indigenous history and traditions, and celebrating Indigenous spirituality.

You will be very moved by the experience.
