Ontario cuts tree planting

From the Brereton Field Naturalists

On Saturday, May 14, the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority will be continuing to implement their “the Creeks project” by involving the community in tree planting at 99 Loon Ave. in Barrie from 10 am to 12. The more community volunteers we get, the more native tree saplings we can plant.

The purpose of “the Creeks project” is to help fulfill the LSRCA mandate to protect and restore the environmental health of our watersheds and urban green spaces including natural habitats for our wildlife.
