MIDLAND – Deputy Mayor Stephan Kramp has raised the possibility Midland council might have broken its own rules in acquiring legal advice on a multimillion-dollar land purchase.
The suggestion sparked a heated response by some colleagues Monday night, pushing sometimes rancorous council relationships back into the spotlight.
“Did the town ever consider going to tender for legal services?” Kramp asked during discussion of liability issues surrounding the purchase of the former Unimin property.
