Water warriors: Maude Barlow in documentary, Mary Muter on the Agenda

The Site 41 battle is one of those featured featured in this documentary about Maude Barlow of the Council of Canadians. Water On The Table explores Canada’s relationship to its most precious and increasingly threatened natural resource: freshwater. 
From the controversial corporate privatization of water to bulk water exports to the United States, Water On The Table captures the public and private sides of Maude Barlow in her tireless crusade to have water declared a human right, and not a commodity. 
Water on the Table is a part of TVO’s Celebration of Canada Water Week. 
Tonight (March 21) Steve Pakin will lead a discussion on Great Lakes water levels tomorrow at 8pm and 11pm on TVO’s The Agenda. Paul Cowley, president of the Federation of Tiny Township Shoreline Associations, and Mary Muter of the Sierra Club Ontario will be on the panel. A new organization has been formed with US groups Restore Our Water International Inc. Roger Gauthier, retired US Army Corps of Engineers, hydrologist with the the Detroit offices is the Chair.
