By Vickie Kee AWARE Tiny November 17 2011
Richard Galas made a submission to council about the Boundary, Easement and Right of Way Issues  on Tiny Beaches Road North from Balm Beach to 96 TBRN. He says that no survey has ever been done in this area and the drainage was put in wrong by the township, which is affecting his driveway. He dislikes having to clean up the snow and gravel that ends up on his driveway This is not the first time that he has alerted Council about this issue.
Chris Figgures made an oral submissiion to council representing C.B.O. Parks and Recreation Association who is asking to change the status of the group from passive to active The volunteer group, C.B.O., is responsible for addressing culture, arts and music events and opportunities in the Cawaja, Balm and Ossossane beach areas. Councillor Claire wannts this group to team up with other groups in the area such as FOTTSA. Doug Luker, CAO of Tiny, suggests that staff can work with these people to make up a Master Plan. Mr. Figgures says that their group already has plans for two events in 2012, one of them being a corn roast.
A new drainage system has been completed at Balm Beach. Deputy-Mayor Lawrence says thaat there has been new signage put up by the Surf Restaurant and wants staff to take a look at it to make sure that it has been done properly.
Deputy-Mayor Lawrence has been told by the County, at Corporate Services, that Simcoe County will be taking over all of the leaf pickup to make it uniform across the County, with no exceptions, even though Tiny Township has been doing it for half of the price of what the County Of Simcoe will be charged!
