So, Tim Hudak, leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario has announced that he will eliminate the “sneaky eco-taxes” on a range of products, implemented by the McGuinty Liberals.
… What we want to know is whether Hudak will reverse McGuinty’s policy decisions that exempt certain activities from requiring an Environmental Assessments – everything from wind farms, to the “Peaker” plant in King Twp., to the Melancthon mega-quarry. Under the revised Aggregate Resources Act, applications for Aggregate resource extraction on private land do not require an Environmental Assessment.
