CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP – Eric Jelinski wants to be Clearview Township’s next deputy mayor.
The County Road 10 resident has filed papers to run in the municipal election this fall.
He is challenging Alicia Savage, Clearview’s current deputy mayor, for the number two spot.
If Savage is re-elected, it will be her second term as deputy mayor. 
Jelinski is a retired nuclear engineer and member of the Clearview Economic Development Committee.
The municipal election in Clearview will take place on Mon., Oct. 25.
For the second time in a row, residents will vote by mail. Those lucky to be acclaimed or elected will serve a four-year term.
The deadline to file as a candidate for this year’s election is Fri., Sept. 10.
