Simcoe.com – February 23 2010 –  Keith Hull is the eighth person to declare his candidacy for Collingwood council for the 2010 municipal election.
Hull, 38, has lived in Collingwood since 1996 and has served on the heritage committee, Vision 2020 committee and the Affordable Housing Task Force. He is also chair of the board for First Presbyterian Church and has served as a director for the Georgian Triangle Real Estate Board.
He currently works as a realtor in the area.
Hull is in the second year of a two-year contract as the affordable housing coordinator.
He said his father served as a councillor in the Waterloo area and felt it was the right time – personally and professionally to seek a seat at the council table.
“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do,” he said. “I’ve been involved and around municipal politics for a number of years.”
The married father of two said his committee work has given him knowledge of local issues and municipal staff.
“Being a part of the three committees, I’ve been a part of some of the big issues in the community.” He said. “I’ve got a good understanding of how the process works.”
