Canada is a land of lakes and rivers, and the right to use those waters has been protected since 1882 under the Navigable Waters Protection Act. The Harper Conservatives are ending that protection for tens of thousands of our lakes and rivers. Instead, just 3 oceans, 97 lakes and 62 rivers are to be covered by the new Navigation Protection Act. Here’s the list.
