Mr Mike Van Tol has a different Email address on his signs. http://Www.mikevantol.com. Mike has impressed me with his ingenuity and environmental views of our township.
I would encourage people to make sure you feel informed and educated prior to voting. It is important to know the facts, and not be swayed by misinformation or miscommunications. If you do not have information about current ‘hot topics’ (for example, the sewer issue), search out those answers for yourself, so that you feel prepared to make your vote for the candidate that truly represents your vision for this township. Also, remember that conduct during campaigning can be indicative of what you will see once someone is elected. Vote for the people who are involved in the community and running a campaign that promotes continued community and economic development, team work, and an all-around positive approach. Yes, there are things to work on in this community; however don’t forget to take a look around at all the things that have been accomplished in the last 4 years, and how that has improved Essa’s image and morale. There seems to be some attempts to trivialize things that have been done, such as splash pads, hiking trails, the salmon derby, the bus system etc. As a long-standing resident of this community, I value these additions and feel they are not insignificant achievements — and furthermore, those are just a small fraction of the positive changes within this election term. Regardless of whether you choose to vote in current council or elect a new candidate, it is my opinion that we live in a great community, and we have much to be proud of — and we should thank our current council for their part in contributing to that.
In the end, regardless of who you support in the election campaign, the most important thing is that on October 27, you vote!
