From Linda Reynolds
At a special Penetanguishene Town Council meeting Monday night, councillors voted UNANIMOUSLY in favour of supporting the Tiny Township resolution calling for the permanent closure of Site 41, asking the MOE to revoke the Certificate of Approval, and directing the County of Simcoe to undertake a County-wide Waste Management Master Plan.
HOORAY!!
Both Mayor Anita Dubeau and Deputy Mayor Doug Leroux assured me they would definitely vote in accordance with this resolution at the County Council meeting on September 22, 2009.

It’s great to see that Penetanguishene Council has finally seen the light and is now supporting our efforts to stop DS41 for good.

Thank you!
