   This legislation (Bill 23) will destroy all the recent gains made in planning for healthy, resilient communities. It will contribute to urban sprawl, does not solve housing affordability, it will put money in the pockets of developers. It will further aggravate the climate crisis. Cities and communities will suffer from lack of funds for infrastructure needed to build strong healthy communities I am strongly opposed to this legislation. While I fully recognize the need to increase the supply of housing, and addressing affordable housing, this should be done through increased density within urban areas.
