Friends of Simcoe Forests / Recycling Rewards bin is here

We are so happy to announce that the Friends of Simcoe Forests / Recycling Rewards bin is here.

If you haven’t already donated items, please consider digging through your closets. It feels great to donate and great to recycle so everybody wins.

Thank you very much to everyone who has already donated items. There’s still lots of time if you find you have more to donate or you just haven’t gotten around to it yet. We have decided to run this fund raiser until at least the end of May.

In the interest of helping to divert textiles and items from landfills, we hope to continue this service on a longer term basis. Depending on the support we receive from the community we may look at expanding to multiple bin locations. If you have an appropriate property and would like to learn more about hosting a bin, please reach out to us.

Please make sure your bagged donations go in this bin located at the Apto Esso gas station 13103 Hwy #27 Phelpston (Apto).

Funds generated from donations collected in this bin go to the nonprofit group The Friends of Simcoe Forests Inc.

Items will be collected from this bin on a regular basis. We ask for everyone’s help with monitoring this bin and keeping it tidy. If at any time the donation bin is full or if you suspect non accepted items have been left then please call the number on the side of the bin to give notice. Recycling Rewards will have the bin emptied within 12 to 24 hours’ after notice.
