For decades, the gravel mining industry has blasted, dug, crushed, and trucked across Ontario with apparent impunity.
On Tuesday, January 25 at 7 pm the newly formed Reform Gravel Mining Coalition will announce something big that will protect water and the environment from uncontrolled gravel mining and empower people in communities across Ontario.
Gravel mining changes our environment forever, damages communities, and accelerates the climate crisis, by feeding sprawl, highways, cement production, transportation, and other massive causes of greenhouse gases.
The Reform Gravel Mining Coalition has an ambitious, yet realistic plan to challenge all of this.
