What is a Sustainable Population for Simcoe County?

Open to all youth and students living or attending classes in Simcoe County, Barrie and Orillia.

Two Categories; Secondary School students and Postsecondary students. Also open to non-students up to 25 years old.

Prizes for Each Category:
First prize $1,000.00
Second Prize $500.00
Third Prize $250.00

Essays will be judged on the strength of the arguments presented for proposing the size of the population that can sustainably be supported by the renewable and non-renewable resources of the geographic area of Simcoe County.

Essays will be judged by the Board of Directors of Canadians for a Sustainable Society and decisions will be final. All essays submitted will become the property of Canadians for a Sustainable Society and may be published at the board’s discretion, with credit given to the authors.

Deadline for submission: October 31, 2021
Send submissions in pdf format marked ESSAY CONTEST to: info@sustainablesociety.com
Winners will be announced by November 30, 2021.
