From the Simcoe County Greenbelt Coalition

We are very pleased to be hosting a webinar, for Just Recovery Simcoe, featuring the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE).

We know there are those who argue for austerity, that fiscal debt is the main crisis that needs to be addressed, and that the services that are so important to our society, and the programs and initiatives that are so badly needed to avert a climate catastrophe and address social and economic inequality are luxuries we cannot afford.

This webinar will address the old and disproven arguments for austerity, and offer a better, more hopeful alternative. We can build a society that is more just and more resilient, that improves our health and sense of wellbeing without sacrificing our quality of life.
