There’s finally a race for the mayor’s chair in the Oct. 25 municipal election.
Lifelong Bradford West Gwillimbury resident Jim Corneau filed his nomination papers last week to run against incumbent Doug White, who filed his nomination papers near the beginning of the year.
Mr. Corneau is an active member of the Bradford Lions Club. He joined in 1986 and has served as president twice, vice-president, secretary and treasurer. He is currently a vice district governor of Lions Clubs International District A-12.
Mr. Corneau ran for deputy mayor in the last municipal election, finishing second to Dennis Roughley.
