Adjala-Tosorontio Deputy Mayor Bob Meadows has once again been cleared in an integrity commissioner’s review of his conduct.

This investigation stems from a closed council session in July 2019.

“It’s sad, because we’re trying to get things sorted out at the township and all these investigations are holding things up,” Meadows said. “They take a toll on you.”

In the Municipal Council of Interest Act, it says that after a council member declares a conflict of interest verbally in a closed meeting, they must file a public, written reason with the clerk following the meeting.

An integrity commissioner has ruled in this particular situation, the Act doesn’t apply.
