Our Last AGM?

Our board has been fighting non-stop for over 7 years. There are critical decisions upcoming that need vigilance and community input. But we can`t do it alone. We need your support, ideas and your time if you can. We want to see the MRA thrive into the future and continue to be the voice of our community. At this critical time, we need people who are willing to offer their time (even if it`s just an hour a month) and skills to keeping Midhurst beautiful and prosperous. If you ever thought about contributing to your community in this way, now is the time. We will be discussing this more at our AGM.

When: SUNDAY MAY 5th 2-4 p.m.

Where: St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 5 Noraline Avenue, Midhurst

Learn what we’ve been doing this past year to protect our beloved village from an ill-conceived mega-development – 10,000 homes!! – which would wreck our quality of life forever.

After all, who wants congested streets, more air pollution, more noise, a threatened water supply, the very real possibility of forced hook-up to new sewage mains, potential flooding and higher taxes? Not to mention a damaged Willow Creek and Minesing Wetlands, already threatened by encroaching development and climate change. We didn’t move here for that. And we didn’t vote for it either!

We’ll also tell you what we have in mind for the coming year and how you can be part of it. We want your feedback!.

Please purchase now by sending a cheque to Midhurst Ratepayers’ Association at 3 Silverwood Crescent Midhurst L9X 0P3 You can also buy one at the door on May 5th. Cost is still only $25.per person. All Springwater residents 18 and over are eligible.

Donations are also very welcome. If you would like a charitable receipt, please make out your cheque to Architectural Conservancy Ontario AND mention Save Midhurst in the notes (usually bottom left hand corner). Send to our address and we will ensure its delivery. ACO is our patron charity and will issue your receipt.
