World Migratory Bird Day spotlights plastic pollution impact on migratory birds and their habitats

From Ontario Nature

With the snow starting to melt and the days getting longer, we’re starting to think about spring and all of the migratory birds returning to Canada! World Migratory Bird Day is happening on May 11th this year.

Again this year, we are partnering with Bird Studies Canada to get the word out and promote the theme this year: Protect Birds: Be the Solution to Plastic Pollution to raise awareness on the devastating impact that plastic pollution has on bird species around the world. Environment for the Americas has created some amazing resources that we have available to share with you surrounding this theme.

Join us in a warm welcome for the migratory birds returning to Canada this May!
