Ramara Mayor Basil Clark: His council did not appoint a representative

From the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority website:

To maintain and improve our watershed, the municipalities within our partnership appoint members to serve on the Conservation Authority’s Board of Directors. The Board of Directors reviews conservation projects managed by the Conservation Authority and funded by a variety of partners (our municipalities, our school boards, our community and interest groups, the Province of Ontario and the federal government). The Board also reviews conservation area programming as well as planning and regulatory activities under The Conservation Authorities Act.

  1. Barbara Sternberg says:

As a citizen and tax-payer of Ramara, I am disturbed and ashamed at the lack of participation by Ramara Township.

  2. Brenda Larson says:

I am a resident and taxpayer of Ramara Township and cannot understand why our Mayor would not appoint a representative. This is embarrassing. With Ramara township bordering on a large area of Lake Simcoe we need to preserve the health if the lake so future generations can enjoy it too.
