The talk of the Tiny Township inaugural council meeting was that acclaimed Mayor George Cornell is running for Simcoe County warden.

So far there are two candidates for warden: Cornell and James Leduc, deputy mayor of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

Candidates for deputy warden include: Barry Burton, deputy mayor of Clearview Township; Brian Saunderson, mayor of the Town of Collingwood; and Jane Dunlop, deputy mayor of Severn Township.
