Tiny Township will be holding a public memorial and celebration of life for Councillor Richard Hinton, who died aged 53 on August 25 2018. The event will be held Friday October 5 at the municipal office, 130 Balm Beach Rd. W., from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Mayor George Cornell announced at yesterday’s council meeting.

    For those who may not know, Richard was a strong supporter of the Site 41 protesters. He often attended the camp, joined the protesters at Queens Park & fought for all that was fair. In fact, he was the reason for a lot of the good things in Tiny while on their council. He is sadly missed.
