Calling all WATER Protectors!! Please Stand with us in protecting the World’s Purest Water!

Join the Friends of the Waverley Uplands on Thursday September 13 at the Wyebridge Community Hall – 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Speakers – from 6 to to 6:30 pm – will include Beausoleil First Nation Chief Guy Monague and other allies. At 6:30 pm, members of the Community Liaison Committee will go into a closed meeting with Duffferin Aggregates.

Mike Schreiner, MPP for Guelph and leader of the Green Party of Ontario, and our local MPP Jill Dunlop (Progressive Conservative – Simcoe North), were to have spoken. They had to change their plans after Premier Doug Ford recalled the legislature for today (Wednesday) so he can invoke the notwithstanding clause following a judge’s ruling that his mid-election changes to the Toronto ward system are unconstitutional.

The rally is still going ahead! Let’s talk water!
