On Oct. 22 we will have the great privilege and responsibility to vote for eight members of our community to become our next council and school board trustee. I encourage everyone to take the time to review candidate information and their track record of community involvement, their work experience and accomplishments, their proven work ethic and attitude. I respectfully ask for your vote, giving me the honour to serve you and this great community again for the next four years.

Why should you vote for Joe Belanger?

My track record in my business career, community involvement and as a member of our town council have a great deal in common. Through all aspects of my life I have demonstrated a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to get things done.

In my career I have been recognized for outstanding performance and always gave credit to the team. I never underestimate the synergy and results that can be achieved by an empowered team with shared mission, vision and values.

As a member of our town council and if elected to serve for the next four years, I will continue to work hard to make Wasaga Beach a world-class place to live and a world-class international tourist destination.

The priority opportunities I will champion;

• Strategies and controls to keep residential property taxes low;

• Development of a vibrant, beautiful and economically viable downtown;

• Completion of a community hub consisting of a new double pad arena, library (Discovery Centre), cultural centre and health hub;

• Redevelopment of beach Areas 1 and 2 revitalizing our tourism industry and increasing our stock of high quality accommodation;

• Relentlessly work to get the high school our children deserve, ASAP;
