Bill French plans to seek re-election as Springwater Mayor

French states that he has enjoyed serving the Township of Springwater since 2014 as Mayor and providing leadership to what has proven to be an effective and progressive Council.

Many of the key objectives of the Strategic Plan which he spearheaded have been achieved but he believes there is more work to be done especially with the pressures of growth and the impact of new Provincial policies over the next few years.

French attributes his four decades of business leadership, his experience as a part time business professor and his many years on the local recreation service board and committee of adjustment as keys to his effectiveness in his first term as Mayor.

“I believe the Township is in the service business and our residents are not only our clients but also the key stakeholders. We need to listen first and then service them in an effective and efficient manner. I think we are doing that and I want to continue leading the Township in that direction.”
