About 100 people gathered outside the Wyebridge Community Centre in a vigil for the water, as a community liaison committee of local residents appointed by Dufferin Aggregates held its first meeting inside. Speakers included Vicki Monague, Beth Brass Elson, Roley Monague, Jeff Monague, Valerie Powell, Don Morgan, Pete Anderson, Shawna Redskye (part of a team of supporters from Sustainable Trent), Christine Nugent and Kevin Mitchell from Dufferin. The committee – Judith Grant, Chris Williams, Jessica Campatelli, Dave Barkey, Pete Anderson and Tiny Councillor Richard Hinton – met for two hours with company representatives.

    Thank you to our Indigenous people, local farmers, and concerned residents for protesting the use of pristine water to wash gravel!
    I marched along with many others to protest Site 41.
    I’ll be watching local newspapers, The Mirror, and The Springwater News for further information.

    Our waters are some of the best in the world. I grew up on the shores of Wasaga Beach, ” the longest and safest fresh water beach in the World. We don’t want to become another South Africa ~~ PROTECT OUR WATERS today!
