Wednesday December 20: Essa public meeting regarding CANDO transload facility

Essa Township is holding a Public Meeting to collect comments on a proposed Zoning By-law Amendement submitted by the Barrie-Collingwood Railway
Where: Council Chambers, 5786 County Road 21, between Thornton and Baxter.
When: Wednesday December 20 2017 at 6 pm
BCR and its operator, CANDO, have applied to build a transload facility where it plans to transfer gas from railcars to transport trucks in the CANDO railyard in Utopia – Highway 56 and the 30th Sideroad.
The land is presently zoned agricultural. The amendment would change that to industrial.
