From the Lake Simcoe Association

A strong group of engaged citizens who want to make changes for the better attended the Oct. 21 Municipal Elections Matter! public meeting, organized by the Lake Simcoe Association. (See a report on the meeting in the 2017 Holiday Season issue of Lake Simcoe Living Magazine, available online at http://www.lakesimcoeliving.com.)

The next steps in this continuing conversation about municipal elections in Lake Simcoe-area municipalities need to be determined.

One suggestion is to find a community-based organization in each Lake Simcoe-area municipality that would be willing to plan a local meeting to attract local candidates, campaigners, citizen activists and voters. They would be provided with a model that could be supported, or given support in holding workshop(s) to address their issues.

If you have any suggestions or ideas re: next steps, please email info@lakesimcoeassociation.org.
