County, developers’ minutes of settlement released at OMB

The Ontario Municipal Board convened at the offices of the Township of Springwater on Friday, October 7. Minutes of Settlement agreed to by County and developers were handed out. omb-20k-min-of-settle-20161008_22042535 Lawyers for the township, the province and the Midhurst Ratepayers’ Association said they only received the document Thursday night and needed time to review and get client instructions.
The lawyers all went into a closed room for about an hour, came out and Township lawyer Barnet Kussner listed what they agreed on – they would make a list of issues, they would exchange witness statements, there would be no reply statements, there would be a Telephone Conference Call on Oct 14 and the hearing would resume Oct 20 and into the following week.
Simcoe County withdrew its motion challenging the Ontario Municipal Board’s jurisdiction with regard to the Chiarelli population allocations.
