Join us for the 2016 BioBlitz, a full day event where ecology experts, nature enthusiasts and members of the community come together to explore, learn about and collect a biological inventory at Scanlon Creek.

If you have expertise, we need you.
If you just want to help out, we need you too.

Last year, thanks to the help of community members and specialists, we identified more than 600 species at Scanlon Creek Conservation Area. How many species will we find this year?

How you can participate
Join a Species Inventory
Join a species counting expedition to identify all the birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, fish and plants.

Explore Scanlon with an Expert Guide
Join local specialists for an exciting exploration and view the natural features at Scanlon.

Celebrate Nature and Biodiversity
We’ll have tons of exciting activities happening throughout the day. Check back in June for a full event schedule.

Volunteer with us
We need your help organizing our BioBlitz activities. Join in the fun for a few hours or stay all day. Opportunities include helping with onsite registration, providing directions, handing out free refreshments, and more.
