County Council remunerations, expenses near $760k last year
The 32 members of Simcoe County councillors cost ratepayers $759,241 in salaries and expenses in 2015, according to the annual treasurer’s report.
Simcoe County Warden Warden Gerry Marshall topped out $76,734, including his $67,075 annual salary. Deputy Warden Terry Dowdall, who is mayor of Essa, was next highest at $51,644, including a salary of $40,631.
New Tecumseth mayor Rick Milne, and deputy mayor Jamie Smith were paid $20649 and $18,787 respectively. Adjala Tosorontio mayor Mary Small Brett, and deputy mayor Doug Little, received $20,999 and $22,093 respectively. And Essa deputy mayor Sandie MacDonald was paid $18,419.
