Sustainable Severn Sound, in partnership with the Ontario Invasive Plant Council (OIPC) and with funding support from the Invasive Species Centre, is hosting a discussion on Invasive Plant Management Strategies on Thursday, December 10, from 8:30am-12pm at the Best Western Highland Inn and Conference Centre, 924 King Street, Midland.

This event will provide municipal staff and community members with information on creating an Invasive Plant Management Strategy. The OIPC will introduce successful case studies from Ontario municipalities, and provide details on tools and funding which can help support invasive species management.

The Invasive Species Awareness Program will also be there to discuss their EDDMapS, and how they can help municipalities with invasive species management. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Space is limited, and registration is kindly requested.
