Collingwood council turned down a request for a preemptive agreement allowing a proposed aviation park access to the regional airport, but that hasn’t scared away the developers.

“We want to regroup and make a commitment to work with all of the regional municipalities, recognizing this development is the largest economic investment that has hit the region in its history,” said Paul Bonwick, spokesperson for the Clearview Aviation Business Park developers. “We’re still fully committed to the region and seeing this become a jewel of the North American aviation industry.”

The Collingwood regional airport, while owned by Collingwood is located within the Clearview Township borders.
