Seven sites – five of them county forest tracts – shortlisted for central composting site

Simcoe County has come up with a short list of seven possible sites for a composting and waste transfer facility. A staff report explaining the list is on the County Council agenda for Tuesday August 11. Presently, the County sends its organics to Hamilton. Five of the short-listed sites are in Springwater, one is in Clearview and one is in Oro Medonte. Five of the sites are County forest tracts.
