Mr. Donald Stubbs presented a report to council regarding the proposed Woodland Beach Recreational Park located on Concession Two in Tiny Township.
Phase One will consist of fifty seasonal campsites, a comfort station and an inground pool. Bike rentals and tours will be available.
Approval by the Ministry of the Environment is needed and any tree removal must be approved by the County of Simcoe.
On the same issue, Mr. Cecil Gratrix, representing Burnside, presented a report to council on the proposed Woodland Beach Recreational Park.
Shawn Persaud, Tiny planner, stated that there will be no cabins built in Phase One of the development. The site plan was brought forward in 2010. There will be one dwelling allowed for the park manager’s use. The park will be seasonal and the park manager’s position is permanent.
Public Works presented a report to council regarding temporary speed cushions for St. Andrews Drive near Farlaine Lake. Residents have had to put up with speeders in this area for twenty years, said Councillor Hinton.
Installation of these speed cushions will be next Spring, stated Henk Blom, Manager of Public Works.

Town Hall Meeting and Community Barbecue Saturday August 15, 2015 Report
Deputy-Mayor Walma announced that the LED streetlight program has been approved and installation will be completed by the fall of 2015.
The Mobi Mats installation pilot project at Balm beach should be starting within two weeks. These mats will be great for wheelchairs, strollers, crutches, walkers and anyone that has problems walking in the sand  Wasaga Beach already has them.

Septage Update
Septage is an issue that has “killed” previous Tiny Councils, stated Councillor Wishart.
Springwater, Penetanguishene and Midland are still open for discussions on the septage issue and thanks to mayor Cornell, Simcoe County is too. Tay has refused any discussion at all with Tiny.
Councillor Wishart commented that council will not be able to stop the spreading of septage on our fields in Tiny.
I find this statement premature considering all the work that the rest of council is doing on the septage issue and our tax money is being spent on a consultant.
Us Tiny residents are worried about the spreading of sludge as well as septage. Sure, sludge has been treated but we need to protect our ecosystem and our groundwater recharge areas such as the Waverley Uplands.
So, please Tiny Council, keep trying  or else there will be nothing left for our grandchildren here in beautiful Tiny Township.
