Ramara Creeks subwatershed plan and public consultation session

From Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority

Please join us at a public consultation session to review and comment on the Draft Ramara Creeks Subwatershed Plan. Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA) staff will present an overview of the plan and be available to answer any questions or concerns. Light refreshments will be provided.

LSRCA has been developing the plan since early 2014, in partnership with a subwatershed plan working group, consisting of provincial and municipal staff and community stakeholders. We now look forward to sharing the information with you and gathering your feedback.

A copy of the draft plan is available below. If you have any comments on the plan or the recommendations, we ask that you provide them by Friday, June 12, 2015.

Please direct any comments or inquiries to Pam Strong (p.strong@lsrca.on.ca) or 905.895.1281 ext. 312.

What is a subwatershed plan?

A subwatershed plan analyses the current state of water and land resources and recommends actions for how these resources can be protected and enhanced while taking into account existing and changing land uses.

Subwatershed plans allow water-related environmental objectives to be effectively incorporated into land use planning documents, providing a road map to guide actions that will address issues identified in this area.
