Some key senior Barrie officials weren’t on this year’s Sunshine List, the compendium of public servants who earned $100,000 or more.

AO Carla Ladd was the top earner among the 318 city employees, cops and firefighters on the list, disclosed this morning.

She made $249,562 and enjoyed $7,866 in taxable benefits.

Barrie Police Chief Kimberley Greenwood earned $235,993. In addition to that, she claimed $15,863 in taxable benefits. Deputy Chief Bruce Carlson earned  $213,154. Police Insp. Mark Sheffer earned $174,652.

Barrie Fire Chief John Lynn, who also serves as the city’s emergency services director, made $155,885 and claimed $681 in taxable benefits.

Lynn earned marginally more than fire Capt. Cory Mainprize, who made $141,685 and claimed $462 in taxable benefits.

Roads, parks and fleet director Dave Friary — whose duties include everything from managing snowplow operations as well as finding ways to control goose poop in our parks — earned $139,000.

Library services director Al Davis was paid $125,959.

In the past year, Barrie has hired several new senior managers, who are not yet on the Sunshine List because they joined the city partway through the year. They include Patricia Elliott-Spencer, who oversees the corporate operations and the city’s financial planning and investment, and Zvi Lipschitz, the executive director of Invest Barrie, which includes economic development, arts and culture and downtown revitalization.

On the same senior level is infrastructure and growth management general manager Richard Forward, who oversees environmental services, engineering work and roads improvement, planning and growth and transit. He earned $195,216.
