Sunday, March 8: Midhurst Ratepayers Association AGM

We are building on the success of last year’s AGM by having a Community Appreciation buffet (4-5:30).  Last year our selection of homemade soups and chilis was a crowd pleaser – this year should be no exception.  Following the buffet, there will be an amazing speaker, Jack Gibbons from the North Gwillimbury Forest Alliance.  His inspiring talk will outline how his community found success in protecting its wetlands and how important community preservation is.

The event is free to 2015 members and all children under 12; $10 for non-members (which includes the buffet).  Memberships per adult are $25.  If you cannot attend, but would like to renew your membership, you can do it online here.  A new membership card will be sent to you once payment is received.

Board Nominations
The MRA board meets once or twice per month for two hours.  Members of our Board make key decisions, and lend their passion, expertise and knowledge to improving and preserving our community.  Want to expand your opportunities and meet new people both within and outside the Midhurst community?  You can make a difference.

All members in good standing (have paid their 2015 dues) are welcome to nominate themselves or other members in good standing for positions on the Board of Directors.  Our Board is comprised of a President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary plus a variable number of Members-at-Large.  All positions are open, in keeping with our by-laws.  We are always looking for people who are willing to lend a hand as a Member-at-Large or to serve on a committee.  If you would like more information about these positions and the nomination process, please contact our current President, Sandy Buxton, at:  s.buxton@rogers.com
