United Nations Year of Soils: Reconnecting to the Land
From Food & Water First
The Soil Science Society of America has published an elegant and powerful article about the vital resource we all take for granted and why the Year of Soils is important. Our favourite line:
“Soil keeps us from being hungry, thirsty, breathless, naked, and homeless”
Take a few moments to read this article. It’s worth it. Amazing fact: There are more organisms in one teaspoon of healthy soil than there are people on Earth.
