Rob Keffer,

News release from AWARE Simcoe

AWARE Simcoe is endorsing Rob Keffer as the best candidate for Mayor of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

Rob Keffer understands the importance of protecting farmland and the natural environment. He is committed to fiscal responsibility and has already worked to rein in high residential taxes. His slogan – build a better town, not just a bigger town – reflects a platform of thoughtful policies that will bring sprawl, debt and waste under control.

AWARE Simcoe has also endorsed Bill French for Mayor of Springwater and Gary Cerantola for Deputy Mayor of Wasaga Beach.

Bill French’s top-level business background gives him the confidence to deal authoritatively with large corporations, to listen to residents and to direct staff – rather than fall in line with corporate plans, listen to staff and direct residents. He’s the best candidate to address the threat the Midhurst Secondary Plan currently presents to the future of Springwater Township and the Minesing Wetlands.

Gary Cerantola is the kind of leader Wasaga Beach needs to revitalize the town. He is committed to showcasing and protecting its major attraction – the world’s longest freshwater beach. He has demonstrated an understanding of the importance to the beach of reversing the degradation of the Nottawasaga River and restoring the health of the entire watershed.

AWARE Simcoe is a citizens’ group that works to protect water, the environment and health through transparency and accountability in government.
