Friday February 28: NVCA board to decide on AWARE’s request
The Nottawasaga Valley Concervation Authority board of directors will decide Friday February 28 whether to approve a resolution supporting the Town of Clearview and the Municipality of Essa in their request for the federal government to add the Nottawasaga River and all its tributaries to waterways regulated under the Navigation Protection Act.

NVCA board meetings are open to the public, and take place in the John L. Jose Learning Centre at the Tiffin Area for Conservation, 8195 8th Line of Essa, Utopia, starting at 9 am.
AWARE Simcoe board members Kate Harries (Springwater) and Anne Learn Sharpe (Essa) made a presentations to the NVCA in December, urging the importance of getting the river listed under the Navigation Protection Act. They have also presented to several councils in the Nottawasaga watershed.
