From Ontario Ombudsman’s office

Ontario Ombudsman André Marin will release his 2012-2013 annual report on municipal meetings at a news conference  at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11. The new report covers cases handled by the Open Meeting Law Enforcement Team (OMLET) between September 1, 2012 and August 30, 2013.

Which municipal council members met illegally in 2012-2013? Find out during the live press conference, which will be streamed on our website on December 11 at 1 p.m.

The Ombudsman will be available to discuss the report live during a chat on our website after the release, at 3 p.m.

We know closed municipal meetings are a hot topic. So if you’re interested in asking the Ombudsman about how your municipality ranks, or even about anything else we’ve been working on, now is your chance. The Ombudsman, members of his senior team, and some special guests will be live at  www.ombudsman.on.ca on December 11 at 3 p.m.
