This is a joint event between Midhurst Ratepayers’ Association and Environmental Defence.
This is important because Simcoe County and its contained communities are facing a unique development threat.  Unprotected by the Greenbelt and with a plethora of available cheap farmland, Simcoe County has been speculated, farm land bought in large quantities, and massive sprawl developments have been pushed onto lower-tier municipalities that have no expertise of managing projects on a GTA scale.

Furthermore, watersheds in Simcoe – Nottawasaga and Lake Simcoe – are already struggling, even without the massive growth that is planned.
