Committee news release – Aug. 20, 2013
The Township of Tiny Golf Tournament and Dinner in honour of Gord Leonard & the Story of Site 41 – set for Friday August 23, 2013 – is proving to be a great success.
The volunteer organizing committee for the second annual golf tournament is happy to announce that the tournament is full and there are less than 10 dinner tickets left!

The committee has made a three-year commitment to raise $50,000 in support of the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation for the Gord Leonard Room.
The room in question is known as the Quiet Room and will be located directly across from the trauma room in the new emergency department at the GBGH.
Gord was well known for his love of his community and the protection of environment, in particular water and farm land.  Those who knew Gord, will attest to how befitting it is that his leadership in the fight against Site 41 will be memorialized by the Quiet Room.
