Former mayors present 1,200-name petition supporting Admiral Collingwood

COLLINGWOOD – Council has been presented with a 1,200-name petition calling on it to move ahead with the Admiral Collingwood Place project. The organizers of the petition – who also organized last weekend’s rally in support of the project – collected 800 names in the week-and-a-half since the rally, along with the 400-plus signatures of people who signed it that day.
The petition was given to council by former mayors Ron Emo and Terry Geddes.
Council OKs bylaw changes to allow project 
COLLINGWOOD – Town council has approved changes to the downtown heritage district plan that will pave the way for a six-storey project at the corner of Hume and Hurontario.
 
ACO will “weigh” its options
COLLINGWOOD – The membership of the local branch of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario will weigh its options whether it will challenge town council’s decisions to amend the downtown heritage district bylaw to allow Admiral Collingwood Place to go ahead.
ACO drops lawyer’s letter on town
COLLINGWOOD – The local branch of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario has brought in some legal advice in it’s challenge of council’s decision on Admiral Collingwood Place.
