MIDLAND – For a number of years, I have had the sincere pleasure of working with Gord McKay in the creation and operation of Zero Waste Simcoe, of which he sits as chairperson. In fact, I believe Zero Waste Simcoe, under Gord’s leadership, demonstrated very convincingly that there was a real alternative to developing Site 41 or any other new landfills in Simcoe County.
I cannot say enough good things about Gord’s management style and the professionalism he continually brings to the table to achieve consensus and a go-forward action plan.
Although I do not live in Midland, I would like to recommend to all Midland voters that Gord would not only make an excellent mayor for your town, but he would also bring a breath of fresh air to Simcoe County politics that is so desperately needed.
